Towel size standards for different purposes
‌Bath towel‌: Standard sizes range from about 70cm x 140cm (about 28 inches wide and 55 inches long) to 100cm x 180cm (about 40 inches wide and 70 inches long). Bath towels are usually larger and are used to dry the body after bathing.
‌Hand towel‌: Standard sizes are about 30cm x 30cm (about 12 inches x 12 inches) to 40cm x 40cm (about 16 inches x 16 inches). Hand towels are smaller and suitable for placing in the bathroom or kitchen for drying hands.

‌Five-star hotel‌: Bath towels are not less than 80cm x 160cm and weigh not less than 700g; face towels are not less than 32cm x 32cm and weigh not less than 70g; floor towels are not less than 50cm x 80cm and weigh not less than 400g.
‌Four-star hotel‌: Bath towels are not less than 70cm x 140cm and weigh not less than 600g; face towels are not less than 31cm x 31cm and weigh not less than 60g; floor towels are not less than 50cm x 75cm and weigh not less than 300g.
‌Three-star hotels‌: Bath towels should be no less than 70cm x 140cm and weigh no less than 500g; face towels should be no less than 30cm x 30cm and weigh no less than 120g; floor towels should be no less than 50cm x 75cm and weigh no less than 350g.
‌One and two-star hotels‌: Bath towels should be no less than 60cm x 120cm and weigh no less than 400g; face towels should be no less than 30cm x 30cm and weigh no less than 110g; floor towels should be no less than 65cm x 35cm and weigh no less than 280g.
